Our Boarding Kennel: Your Pet Can Stay While You Are Away

When you board at the Animal Hospital of the Rockaways, your pets will always be treated as if they are our own. Whether short or long term, when you board with the people you have come to know and trust, you can be sure there will be lots of cuddling and attention.

Night vision cameras have been installed in the hospital so that your pet can be monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With just a flick of a switch on any computer, our staff is able to see what’s going on at all times.

Dogs are walked a minimum of two times a day. When they stay with us, your dogs enjoy clean, spacious runs and kennels. We provide comfortable bedding and wholesome, nutritious food. Your dog will also receive a generous amount of tender loving care.

Cats are housed in a separate cat condo area where no dogs can be heard. They can enjoy playing on our climbing tree or just relax and watch “Cat TV” that features programming your cat will love such as fish, pictures of islands, colors, and music. If you are boarding more than one cat, they can stay and play together.

Don’t worry! We provide everything your pet will need and encourage you not to bring things from home so that they don’t become lost or get dirty. Meals are the highest quality food made by Hill’s and Royal Canin.

All cats and dogs staying with us must be current on vaccinations. If your pet is not a regular patient, he or she will be examined before and after the stay. If your pet requires medication, we will take care of that for a small additional charge, and you can relax knowing that your pet will be in good hands.

We do everything possible to make your pet’s grooming experience as stress free and enjoyable as possible. Our groomers are committed to providing your pet with a look and style that you will be proud to show off to your friends and family. Your dog or cat will benefit from:

Don’t forget your bird! Avians need special grooming and we have the skills and knowledge to provide:

You may drop off in the morning and pick up your clean and happy pet later in the day. Grooming is always by appointment, and we do our best to schedule your pet promptly.
