Pet loss is a difficult experience. The Animal Hospital of the Rockaways knows that losing your special pet can be like a member of the family passing. Caring for animals and the people who love them at this uncomfortable time requires special attention.
Compassion at the End of Your Pet’s Life
Our doctors and staff will do everything to keep your pet comfortable at the end of his or her life. The Animal Hospital of the Rockaways is committed to being compassionate, attentive, and informative, helping you to make the decisions that are right for you and your pet. We offer ways to keep your pet comfortable either at home or at our hospital. When the time comes to prevent further suffering, we can provide humane euthanasia. A sedative will be given and your pet will feel no pain.
We are honored to make arrangements for either communal or private cremation. If you choose private cremation, your pet’s ashes will be returned to you in the urn of your choice. For any pet, we can make a paw print impression that is encased in a beautiful leather box. This beautiful memento from Paws of Remembrance contains a comforting poem and, like your memories, lasts forever.
